Time to let go

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by 😊

I’ve written a lot of words on this little blog, reassuring people that it’s okay to let go.

  • To let go of clothes that don’t express who you are
  • To let go of items that no longer serve you or your lifestyle
  • To let go of relationships that don’t help you grow or thrive

It’s time for me to let go now. I feel I‘ve said all I need to say. If you’ve ever got any value from my little corner of the internet, then I’m so pleased and I hope it has helped. If you haven’t, I appreciate you reading anyway.

The reason I started this blog was to share my own views on minimalism and how it has helped me. I hoped it may help others, in a small way. I have not broken any new ground in the world of minimalism, but I have been honest in how I try to apply it in my own life, with varying degrees of success! I hope I have done this in a relatively light-hearted but authentic way.

There have been many companions on my journey, but I want to give a special shout-out to the following – please check out their blogs – they’re all brilliant.

And to you, my wonderful readers and subscribers – I appreciate each and every one of you.  Have a great life 😊

Hiya Nik, thanks so much for your lovely comments. It was great having a companion along the way! I’m glad you enjoyed the posts. It wasn’t an easy decision to stop but I felt I needed to take my own advice – you know when it’s the right time to let something go, even if it feels difficult. I will still be looking forward to reading your own blog posts – keep blogging, girl, Lxx

I’ve really enjoyed your weekly blogs since you talked at the Hartley Wintney WI ( and enjoyed your talk too). It was the only WI meeting I’ve ever managed to get to.
I do hope your blog today doesn’t mean they are stopping? But may be you have to move on and use your time elsewhere.
Just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed hearing from you weekly.
    Thank you

Hi Lesley, thanks so much for your lovely comment and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed reading – that means a lot to me. I really enjoyed giving that talk at the Hartley Wintney WI – it got a great reception and I hope I left some minimalist tips that were easy to apply! Lxx

I second Julie! I look forward to reading your blog every week! I’m still on my journey! I honestly am flabbergasted and pray that you reconsider. You don’t have to write weekly….just when you are inspired to. Thank you for the shoutout but honestly…..I just wish you’d reconsider.

Dearest Erin, thanks so much for your lovely comment and sentiments. Writing my blog enabled me to find yours and so opened up some very happy and thought-provoking reading experiences. One thing that minimalism has taught me is when it’s right to let go and I feel this is the right time for me. I would have got too repetitive and stale – and my over-riding concern has been to add value – I felt this wouldn’t have continued. However, I am leaving my blog up for those who would like to read older posts or for any new readers. Thank you Erin for your support – you were always one of the first to read my blogs on a Sunday and the day always started well for me when I saw your name pop up! Love and blessings to you and I am looking forward to still reading your own lovely blog, Lol xxx

Lol! I’m absolutely gutted to read this. As you know, I get so much from reading your posts and look forward to them each week. They haven’t helped just a small amount but a HUGE amount. Today I”m finishing clearing out my utility room, largely thanks to the inspiration you’ve given me. I’m seriously hoping you’ll reconsider – I for one will miss you enormously ☹️😢😭

Dearest Julie, thank you for those beautiful words, I am so touched by them. I feel pleased and humbled to know that I was able to help at all. It feels right to let go now. Minimalism taught me when letting go can be good as well as painful and I am feeling that mixture now! However, I felt the blog was in danger of becoming stagnant and repetitive and therefore would not add the value I wanted it to. However, I am leaving the blog where it is, in case any older posts may resonate with readers. Julie, you have been one of my staunchest supporters, readers and commenters and I genuinely valued all of our interactions. I will still look forward to reading your blog with interest and have often regretted living so far from Norfolk!! Thank you, Julie, thank you for your kindness and wisdom, Lol xxx

It’s been an absolute pleasure, Lol, thank you for your lovely response. I understand your reasons but I’m still gutted! I’m glad you’re not disappearing completely, though, and that you’ll still maintain a presence in the blogosphere – it wouldn’t be the same without you.
